October 12 - Canine Cancer Walk

I'm three chemo treatments in and doing pretty good. I don't have much of an appetite and mom bribes me with chicken or turkey. Tonight daddy hand fed me boiled chicken and I ate it all up. I'm scheduled for my 4th chemo treatment this Friday, but we might skip a week in order for me to re-gain some strength and gain some weight. I'm prepping for my big day leading the .75 mile walk on October 12 at the Canine Cancer Walk. I'm very excited and my sissy Indigo will be joining us in her stroller! #Team Sassafras will celebrate with doughnuts and coffee or a picnic after the walk. Mom wanted to check everyone's schedule to see what works best. Please consider joining my team. There are multiple options, join us for the walk at Elk Grove park Oct. 12 or select the "sit and stay" option so you're part of the team, but you don't actually attend. If you don't want to be part of the coolest team around, you could consider making a small donation to my page. We are so appreciative and thankful for all the support we've recieved!!      Join #Team Sassafras
My (wonderful, very nice - even though she has cats) oncologist Dr. O'Brien will be at the walk and mom is working with her now to try and get me in the best shape possible for this special and very emotional walk. As you may know my Cancer is terminal, so I want to do my part to support Cancer research to help all the people and pets who are diagnosed with cancer with the time I have left on this earth with the help of my special family and oncology team!

Bark It List Item # 11 - Check

I'm
The day started with mom combing my fur and fluffing my ears. I had my 2nd chemo treatment Friday and I am feeling pretty good today, but since I tend to get car sick mom gave me some medicine (Ondansetron) to ward off nausea.  Then we had to sneak out of the house so Indi wouldn't be sad she didn't get to go see Robin. Once out, we went to pick up Grandma and head to Old Sacramento. We finally made it and then I was able to prance through Old Sacramento to the photo studio. We arrived early so we walked through the Alley and found a cute antique shop in a courtyard. The owner came out and mentioned she use to have a border collie. She invited us into the store including me. Mom, grandma and I went into the cute shop and looked around. I was a little nervous that I might knock over some highly expensive knickknack so I walked very carefully through the store. I didn't want to be late for my modeling gig so we left the store and went to the studio. OMG Robin and all her friends were so NICE to me and mom. They made me feel like a princess and rock star all wrapped into one. I wanted to be a model for the day but I didn't realize how much work it was. Smile. Sit. Stay. Look here. Want cheese, want a cookie, want a walk, want to play ball. I don't think they realize I speak people well and I was laughing the whole time - if I sit here and look cute they give me treats. Score. Attached are some photos I'd like to share from my great day checking Item 11 off my Bark It List.
